I know that I don't have a family yet, but I just had a few ideas for the Russians, and perhaps, some others who might be interested in joining.

In the past, I'm sure you both (Vik and Antoni) remember, the Bonanno family had many dealings with the Red Tide organization, namely the whole Zasa incident. I want us to get in touch again in character, possibly do some smuggling story-lines back and forth from the United States to Russia. I need some contacts. Frank is getting too old to do role-plays by himself, and I haven't yet brought in his son. I don't know when I will. But in the meantime, what say you?

OOC of course:

Franc,

I'll jump in here and say we would be honoured to deal with your family once more, but currently we're still setting up our backstories and the like. Still getting ourselves aquainted with the boards once more, if you will.

But! Once we're up and running, consider it a deal.

- Viktor

That works. We'll keep in contact. But I'll leave this topic open for a couple days just in case there are some others interested in joining us. The more people, the more money.

With all respects to Don Frank Bonanno, I also think I should have a say in any business that regards the Bonanno's.

I wonder what Frank would think? Do you two know each other or are you just running around with the Bonnano name?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but how is this even remotely appropriate?

How many times do you have to die, how many characters do you need before you finally give up, make a legit character, and work your way through the ranks again? I'm not trying to bust balls, but I'm not going to have you come onto this board, demanding pull from my family, a family that, mind you, I haven't yet brought back. I appreciate your support, but speak with me in private if you must. We'll discuss it. Don't demand things. You're in no position to do so.

First off. Thomas Bonanno never died. He was forced out of New York and went into hiding under the protection of Don Corleone. And yes I did shed blood with his son, but I assure you everyone I had killed had it coming. Thomas Bonanno was in hiding, there was no other way to get to my enemies. Thomas Bonanno should have never had to leave New York in the first place. Shit went down and Kevin found that as an excuse to go after my head. He was still sour about me dismantling the original scarletto family and taking them to form Bonanno. Which I suppose is a good reason for revenge. Frank I always liked you.

I had no problem with you as the head of my family, cause Frank it is my family.
We run a family different. You run it with kindness. Me well, I run it with an iron fist. Which is why the Bonanno family was at its strongest under my control. Which is probably the reason you were liked more and I was feared more. But I think we could balance each other out. There is still a thing called respect, and I don’t think it has been as true since the time of Corleone, Bonanno, and Laurio. But it is something I will demand and like it or not Frank, I did start the Bonanno family. It is with all respect to you, rightfully mine. But I do also be leave it is rightfully yours. So we must come to an accord. After all frank is Thomas’s cousin or some shit like that. Or was he related in some other way? I remember we came up with it when you asked my permission to make Frank Bonanno, but I can’t recall how they are related.

Damn. Even not caring I can already see who is eventually going to get screwed out of the two of you and your fake peace.

This $hit is hillarious. Brings back old memories and all that good stuff. Someone shoot me a email or something, when someone gets double crossed or something...Ivonin I still have the same email bro. One more thing...please don't have too many allies, one is enough. More then one just becomes gay, unless you plan on using a new allie to get rid of a old allie(double cross). Anyway, this Red Tide Bonanno reunion seems cool.

Francesco just butcher the fucker. I don't even like you, but I think that'd be the best strategy.

If you had said that in 2009 it would have been quote of the year. Besides I might not be a expert on the subject but haven't Russian mafia groups always been enemies with Italian families?

Well, I have spoken to my esteemed colleague and I am in agreement with him at this stage. I would most certainly like to get together in game and start wheeling and dealing. Like Viktor said, we have some setting up to do before we commit to inter-family relations. You have got the right guys though, Viktor heads up the organisation and I run behind-the scenes shit and inter-family diplomacy. We have a big job coming up, so until that is done we won't go talking to anyone in game other than our own group. Drop me PM if you want to do some organising (time, place etc. or just general chitchat).

As for the two Bonanno's, it is for you guys to decide what goes on between you. Personally, I believe there is a good alliance to be enjoyed by both parties which will be mutually beneficial. If Thomas thinks otherwise, then I can convince him. We have a strong power base and are willing to share our resources for the greater good of both organisations. Without showing my hand in the public forum, we can work very well together.

The following is an extract from our groups guidelines that answers your question. This is truthful, as we base ourselves on a real organisation we pride ourselves on being historically accurate.

The Russian mafia does business with the Italian mafia in real life, and we will be able to use real life factors when RPing with Italian mafias IC. In Russia, along with some parts in Europe, the Russian mafias overrule the Italian mafia. However, that is not the case in the U.S. The Italian mafias have been around more than eighty years longer than the Russian mafias have, but the influence is growing. There is no general conflict between the Italian mafia and Russian mafia, more of a tiny friendly relationship actually.

As I touched on in my reply to Francesco, the Russians and Italians work alongside and even do deals together. They may not like each other that much, but they keep to themselves. That being said, the Italians don't want a war with Russians and vice versa.

The Italians and Russians have never been enemies really. The Colombos were shaking the Russians down at one point in a gas scheme where they made money off of that. Mike Franzese and his father Sonny Franzese were involved with that. The russians then went to the luccheses who were run by vic amuso at that time and he was able to get the colombos off of the russians for a bit. As far as europe goes, the Russians are big in spain and in areas in europe, but the calabrian N'drangheta is the big thing in europe right now. They have in fact been known to partner together in strip clubs and other business ventures in nyc as well.

Regardless, I don't see what my business ventures here on the site have to do with shit happening in the real world. Given the right situation or circumstance, two cultures of people can work together. I happen to have had many dealings with Dushko and Turetsky in the past. Let my business be my own. If you don't want to be involved, don't be. Simple as that.

As for that little remark, Dupois, what have I ever done to you? I've never had a problem with you.

Frank is cool, once you get to know him Kyle. I couldn't stand the bastard either, when I first met him. For years we stayed at each other throats. We just up and came to a understanding one day, I guess when all the smoke cleared. To think we shared the same name "Brandon" for years. Maybe it was the battle of the Brandons??? Naw, I think it was just our competitive nature and both being stubborn as shit. Pretty much, having more in common, then we use too like to admit. Now the schmuck and I are friends. If you would have asked me 6 years ago, would I ever be cool with Frank or be friendly enough with him, to talk to the mofo on the phone...I would have told you fuck no. I think I can count on one hand, how many people from this site, I have talk to on the phone and he is one of them.

It seems crazy now, thinking back years ago. No matter what is was, we competed over everything. Being the best Lady's Man CoughYeahStupidCough, being the best Don/Player, being the strongest on MRPG sister site Good & Evil and so on. We fought over everything. Anyway, the fact remains the same...Frank/Brandon was one of the best Don's in "The Golden Era" of this site. This coming from someone who use to couldn't stand it, when people use to get us two confused, because we shared the same first name.

To think, when we played Good & Evil we were on the same side..."The Evil Side". Both being offsprings of Lucifer himself pretty much, we found a way to be at each other throats, instead of focus our energy on the Angels on the good side. Then again, the Angels weren't active like us and we were both in a sense our own biggest competition...along with Mike/Takeshi & Ebz all being evil. If we never got into it over who's truly the strongest, which led us to go inactive and the rest followed suit...that site could of really blossom. It had helluva potential. Just needed to be organized a bit more, instead of being all over the place with the sci-fi/fantasy mixed or if so reworked to fit in the scheme of things.

It would be cool, if YJ had archives from that site. Although I doubt it, since the archives for most of "The Golden Era" (2004) is missing and I believe Good & Evil was created in late 2004 or early 2005. A reworked Good & Evil would be a nice project for ahh CoughJackuulCoughHintCoughHintCough. Damn terrible cough I have there. Anyway, yeah with a certain someone's signature touch on Good & Evil, would nice. *nods his head towards YJ's direction.* Yup, to think this hasn't been thought about, before we had that conversation Frank. If anything, you would think such a site would be right up YJ's alley.

I do know him, albeit not very well, from LCNA. Talked a lot of shit on there, so I don't really like him. No big deal.
